Google x The New York Times
For over 100 years, The New York Times has stored its clippings and photos in an underground archive called the “morgue.” Now, The Times is giving new life to millions of historic photos with Google Cloud. An interactive, AR-enabled campaign gave viewers the chance to step into these photos’ untold stories and experience Google Cloud technology first hand.
The digitized archive will inspire stories for Past Tense, a body of coverage revisiting history through photos. Journalism by The New York Times, powered by technology from Google Cloud.
